Navin's Dr. R. Kumar, the visionary Founder, Chairman, of Navin’s, has been at the forefront of Chennai’s real estate and construction industry for over 35 years. With a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from the Government College of Engineering, Salem, and a Master’s from the College of Engineering, Guindy, Dr. Kumar’s educational foundation laid the groundwork for his remarkable career. He has also been conferred with an Honorary Doctorate in Construction Science by the University of Popolare Degli Studi Di Milano, Italy.

Continuously striving for growth, he further honed his business acumen by attending the Owner President Management Program (OPM) at Harvard Business School between 2012 and 2014. His commitment to excellence has earned him a Fellowship from the prestigious Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS), London, recognizing his professionalism and ethical standards.

Beyond his remarkable achievements in real estate, Dr. Kumar has been honoured with several prestigious accolades. These include the Rotary Award for Ethical Business Practices, the Best Builder Award from the Builders’ Association of India (BAI), and multiple CIDC Vishwakarma Awards for Best Entrepreneur. In 2015, he was recognized with the Industry Doyen Award from CIDC, and he holds the distinction of being a Distinguished Alumnus of the College of Engineering, Guindy.

These honours are a testament to his leadership, ethical business practices, and unwavering commitment to excellence.

He has also held several prestigious leadership positions, including serving as the State Chairman of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India (CREDAI-TN), Vice President of FAIRPRO (2004-2006) in Chennai, General Council Member of the Builders Association of India (BAI), and Chairman of the CMDA Co-ordination Committee for CREDAI-TN. These roles underscore his influence and contributions to shaping industry standards and practices.
